Boreito Seal
"Borate Seal," a sealing material containing "boric acid" that follows movement.
The key to termite prevention is to "cut off physical entry routes." "Boreit Seal" is a groundbreaking sealing material that, unlike conventional anti-termite sealing materials, maintains its anti-termite effectiveness over the long term and flexibly follows the movements of buildings and the contraction of materials, preventing gaps from forming. The reason it can follow movements is that it uses a sealing material derived from natural plant oils and fats. Sealing materials are generally water-based and seal gaps by completely hardening after application. However, because they completely harden, they cannot follow movements, and when buildings or materials shift, new gaps can occur. Moreover, synthetic insecticides derived from pesticides lose their effectiveness in a few years, necessitating reapplication. However, it is difficult to reapply in areas that are not visible. Awarded the Good Design Award in 2018 In the case of Boreit Seal, even though the outer layer hardens, the inside remains soft, making it less likely for new gaps to form. Additionally, the incorporated "boric acid" is an inorganic substance that does not volatilize, thus maintaining its anti-termite effectiveness over the long term. Its recognition as a groundbreaking sealing material that has never been seen before led to Boreit Seal being the first anti-termite sealing material to receive the Good Design Award.
